Dr. Lora Hall has served 34 years in the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools as a teacher and as an administrator.  Dr. Hall began her teaching career at Cole Elementary School.  She later moved to Carter Lawrence where she taught for one year before being named the assistant principal at Cole Elementary.  Dr. Hall's first principalship was at Glengarry Elementary School where she quickly developed a great working relationship with students, teachers, and parents.  Dr. Hall spent the next 14 years at Haywood Elementary School in the largest English Language Learners' school.  Dr. Hall received a Toyota Grant that provided her non and limited English speaking parents English Language opportunities.  After 14 years of a very successful elementary career, Dr. Hall moved to West End Middle School.  Dr. Hall established a great relationship with the parents, the alumni group, along with teachers and students.  Dr. Hall is noted for bringing West End Middle School from an all F status to the only middle school successfully reaching their yearly growth.  Glencliff High School was Dr. Hall's last stop before being named principal of Cane Ridge Comprehensive High School.  Under Dr. Hall's leadership, Glencliff High School achieved their Average Yearly Progress.

Dr. Hall serves as a design team member of the Principal Leadership Academy of Nashville.  This is her 6th year working with Vanderbilt/Peabody and MNPS in this very successful collaboration.

Dr. Hall received her undergraduate from Morris Brown College, her Master's Degree from Middle Tennessee State University, and her doctorate from Peabody/Vanderbilt.  Dr. Hall is excited to undertake this new journey of opening Cane Ridge.  Dr. Hall promises to hire teachers who desire to build a school that supports the needs of students, that encourages parent and student involvement, and provides a curriculum that is rigorous, relevant, and undergirded in relationship.
