"If you give a man a fish, you
feed him for a day; if you teach a man to fish, you
feed him for a lifetime." Thoreau

Khalilah King is a native of Nashville, TN, spending
most of her life in the Antioch community. She is a

2003, after majoring in English with minors in

years.
During her spare time, King
enjoys reading, writing, singing, dancing, watching

this area most of her life, she has witnessed a
tremendous growth in the Nashville area, and feels
that it is important to prepare her students for a
rapidly changing and diverse society.
She dedicates her teaching
career to her teachers, who paved the way and her
mother, who promised a way.
